이 문장이 더 자연스럽다고 생각하시나요?

”A few months ago, my friend texted me saying they wanted to meet at 1 o'clock.

So I drove to my friend's house. When I arrived, my friend suggested we go to a Chinese restaurant, so I drove us there.

While there, I don't know the Chinese ingredients, so my friend usually picks up the ingredients to make Marashang Guo instead.

After leaving there, my friend suggested we go to the beach, but then they had to go to work.“

몇 달 전에는 친구가 문자해서 1시에 만나고 싶다고 했어요.

그래서 차로 운전해서 친구 집에 갔어요.
도착했을 때 친구가 중국 식당에 가자고 해서 저는 운전해서 데려간 거예요.

거기 있으면서 저는 중국 재료를
잘 몰라서 보통 친구가 나 대신 마라샹궈를 만들려고 재료를 골라요.

거기서 나와서, 제 친구는 해변에 가자고 제안했지만, 결국 그들은 일하러 가야 했습니다.

The “picks” part is correct. It’s because I’m not speaking in past tense in that sentence. I’m speaking in present tense.

In English you can mix different tenses in a sentence:

Past tense: I didn’t know much about ingredients.

Present tense: my friend usually picks out the ingredients to make Mala xiang guo.
